  • 24 whole Button mushrooms
  • 4 ounces Goat Cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon Dried Basil
  • 1/2 cup Ground Sausage
  • 1/4 cup Walnuts chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper


  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Heat a large skillet over medium heat, and cook sausage. While sausage is cooking, chop walnuts fine, like bread crumbs.
  • Mix together cheese, garlic, basil and sausage. Mix together 1/8 cup finely chopped walnuts and mix together with sea salt and pepper. Sprinkle over top of mushrooms.
  • Bake until the mushrooms are tender and the filling is heated through and golden on top, about 20 minutes.


These freeze well for fast no fuss appetizer and side in the future.
