
Homemade Chocolate Pudding
Ingredients
- 2 cups Milk
- 1/2 cup Sugar
- 1/3 cup Cocoa Powder
- 4 teaspoons Cornstarch
- 3 large Egg Yolks
- 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
- 1/4 teaspoon Salt
Instructions
- Whisk together 1 1/2 cup of milk, 1/2 cup sugar, and 1/3 cup cocoa powder into a medium sauce pan. Bring to a simmer over medium-high heat.
- While cocoa mixture is heating, whisk together remaining 1/2 cup of milk, cornstarch, salt, egg yolk and vanilla in a medium bowl.
- Remove cocoa mixture from heat and gradually whisk in egg mixture. Be sure to whisk vigorously to ensure eggs do clump.
- Return mixture to the saucepan and cook over medium-high heat whisking constantly until mixture reaches a full boil.
- Reduce heat to low to maintain simmer, continue whisking until thick, about 2-3 minutes. Pour into a serving bowl and cool for at least 4 hours.
