A few years ago while I was visiting my childhood friend Crystal of Cloud Nine Organizing, she took me to one of her favorite breakfast spots. That was where I first had Smoked Gouda Polenta, or as those of us from Texas call it, grits.
It was love at first bite! The rich creaminess of the Gouda cheese combined with polenta offers incredible comfort with even more flavor. Leaving that restaurant I promised myself I would find a way to recreate this recipe. It took a few tries, but I finally did it, and this has quickly become a family favorite, especially with Sriracha Shrimp with a side of Kale & Bacon.
