Kale & Bacon ~ Kale never tasted so good!

When my kids were younger there was only one way to get my kids to try a new vegetable was to add a little bacon to it. It was like magic, and even my oldest son, who hates all things “green” would eat a healthy portion of Kale & Bacon.

And now I want to share a little secret with you .. the key to adding incredible flavor of this recipe isn’t the bacon. It’s actually the coconut oil I use to sauté the kale. Coconut oil always seems to awaken the natural sweetness in any vegetable and enhance the flavor like no other oil can.

Instructions
  1. Heat coconut oil in a pan or large skillet, swirling to coat the bottom. Toss in onions and sauté until tender and lightly browned.
  2. Toss in kale, bacon and salt. Sauté until kale is tender and a bright vibrant green. About 3-5 minutes.
Recipe Notes

When greens start to lose their beautiful color that is when they are also losing their nutrients and flavor.
